Although those two production are leaving town, as for other upcoming projects coming to this city, there’s a lot to look forward.

The TV series Six will commence shooting its second season on June 17 and continue until November 23.

The action-drama series follows U.S. Navy SEAL Team Six on a secret mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan but face complications when their team leader is captured by a terrorist group. They put aside their differences to locate their troop leader, but along the way, they discover an American citizen working with terrorists.

The cast includes Barry Sloane, Kyle Schmid, Juan Pablo Raba, Edwin Hodge, Brianne Davis, Nadine Velazquez, Dominic Adams, and Walton Goggins.

The series filmed in North Carolina and California for Season 1 but, luckily for us, it’s relocating to Vancouver for Season 2.

History channel’s locally filmed military drama “Six” will not report for duty Monday as originally expected.

The eight-episode series, which is wrapping up filming in Wilmington, was scheduled to premiere Monday before the network quietly delayed the show until fall.

Requests for comment and a reason for the delay from A&E Networks were not returned.

Actor Barry Sloane briefly referenced the delay in a June 27 tweet, which included a picture of the cast in full military gear.

is arriving on this fall. Later than expected but worth waiting for I guarantee.

The series follows the personal and professional lives of the men of Navy SEAL Team Six. The first season will cover the team’s 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan, which goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working as a jihadist fighter with the terrorists.

Sloane, Walton Goggins, Kyle Schmid, Juan Pablo Raba and Edwin Hodges star.

Filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina, the History Channel has postponed the premiere date of the upcoming miniseries Six, originally announced to begin airing this Monday, July 18.

We do not have a new release date or specific reason for the delay, as the official History Channel website has little information on the show and the North Carolina Film Office could only confirm the delay via a Facebook post today but offered no explanation. The teaser trailer that was posted to YouTube last month has also been removed.

We will let you know when you can see Six as soon as new release date is announced.

Following Navy SEAL Team Six, whose 2014 mission was to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan, their plan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working as a jihadist fighter with the terrorists.

The cast includes Barry Sloane (Revenge), Juan Pablo Raba (Narcos), Edwin Hodge (Chicago Fire), and Kyle Schmid (Copper). Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight) rounds out the cast as a former troop chief captured by a militant group.

Six had filmed almost two of its eight-episode order when production was abruptly shut down for Manganiello to address an undisclosed health issue.

Manganiello’s scenes were reshot with Walton Goggins in the role of Rip Taggart, described as a gruff, haggard, and aggressive military man who was once the squad leader of Seal Team Six.

Written by William Broyles (Jarhead) and David Broyles, a military Special Operations veteran, and inspired by current events, Six — History’s second original scripted series after Vikings — follows a brotherhood of modern American warriors, Navy SEAL Team Six, whose 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working with the terrorists.

Six also stars Barry Sloane, along with Dominic Adams, Edwin Hodge, Kyle Schmid, Juan Pablo Raba, Nadine Velazquez, and Brianne Davis.

‘Six’ portrays the heroism of Navy SEAL Team Six July 1, 2016

History goes modern with its latest TV project, the military action drama “Six” which tells the story of Navy SEAL Team Six and its 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan when things goes awry and they uncover a U.S. citizen working as a jihadist fighter with the terrorists.

The concept for the series came from Harvey Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company, who thought of the idea when he read about Boko Haram kidnapping school children in Africa, but he needed to bring on someone with the proper credentials to write the script in a manner that honored the heroism of SEALs in an honest way.

He found the perfect pair in Vietnam veteran William Broyles, who was nominated for an Oscar for “Apollo 13,” and his son David Broyles, a military special operations veteran.

“I always felt the story of the heroic men and women, who for 15 years have been fighting terror at the highest level, really deserved to be told, and not just in a superhero way but telling stories of these guys as human beings, who might be your neighbor or somebody you see at the supermarket, and who then put on gear and go out and do extraordinary things, not knowing if they will come back.” Broyles told FOX411.
